“The oak fought the wind and was broken, the willow bent when it must and survived.” ~ Robert Jordan
As 2020 comes to a close it is a good time to reflect. We have collectively gone through what is similar to world war III with numerous societal, community and personal challenges related to Covid19 and the lockdowns. Some of us have lost loved ones during this time, some have postponed weddings, others of us couldn’t be there for the special moments in friends and family’s lives. And the stress has been monumental.
There have been many gains in 2020 as well. I want to challenge you to list them. In spite of Covid19 and the lockdowns, what can we be grateful for? What accomplishments and victories have you encountered? In any big adversity, there are countless small acts of bravery and courage. Maybe your achievements have come because of Covid19 and the lockdowns? You may have learned to be still, to start a home vegetable garden or enjoyed teaching your kids old skool math, and they got it!
No one can say when the pandemic and restrictions will be over. No one can predict when we will come out at the end of the tunnel. We can see the light though! So, hang in there! Take one day at a time, appreciate something each day and let us choose to live as well as we can.
For those clients who have seen us only in the NW office, we have permanently closed that office. As a company, we are celebrating being able to all work in our larger SE office, where you can come and see us in person or book phone/video sessions 7 days a week. We would love to accommodate you. If you are unable to make the drive and prefer not to do video/phone, we would be happy to refer you to one of our trusted and experienced colleagues working in the North of Calgary. Contact the office for 3 referrals or request a FREE 15 minute phone consult with me and we can discuss your options.
Wishing you and your loved ones a very resilient, empowered and dreams-come-true 2021!
